Alors que le Google Phone Nexus One sous Android avait été conçu par HTC, la firme de Mountain View aurait décidé de retenter l’aventure, avec l’arrivée, le 8 novembre prochain, d’un Nexus Two, fabriqué cette fois par Samsung, comme le révèlent nos confrères de Gizmodo.fr.
Pourtant, cet été, Google avait affirmé ne plus vouloir commercialiser de smartphones sur le modèle du Nexus One. Lancé en janvier dernier, d’abord aux Etats-Unis, ce terminal mobile sous Android a eu du mal à trouver son public.
Selon Google, le Nexus One a surtout eu le mérite de faire connaître l’OS Android et d’inciter les constructeurs à l’intégrer à leurs terminaux, afin de barrer la route à de sérieux concurrents comme l’iPhone d’Apple et les BlackBerry de RIM.
Le vent a semble-t-il tourné… Mais attention : la firme de Mountain View ou Samsung n’ont encore rien dévoilé officiellement.
Gizmodo.fr a tout de même pu tester ce fameux Nexus Two de Samsung. Doté d’un écran tactile multi-touch de 4 pouces SuperAMOLED, il pourrait faire concurrence au smartphone Galaxy S du constructeur sud-coréen.
Ce nouveau Google Phone, qui pourrait tourner sous Android 3.0 Gingerbread, embarquerait une caméra frontale permettant le chat vidéo via GTalk.
Il ne reste plus qu’à attendre le 8 novembre prochain pour voir si les rumeurs se confirment…
