Barack Obama déclare la guerre aux cyber-attaques
Le président américain veut davantage sécuriser les réseaux privés et publics. Un M.Cyber-sécurité devrait bientôt être nommé. Les experts de la sécurité IT saluent cette initiative.

« No trespassing » : tel pourrait être le nouveau slogan de Barack Obama, qui a réaffirmé à Washington, la semaine dernière, sa volonté de mettre rapidement en place la totale sécurisation des réseaux de communication américains, qu’ils soient publics ou privés.
Pour mener à bien sa politique de cyber-sécurité, le président américain souhaite d’abord définir « une nouvelle approche globale » contre l’intrusion de menaces et de cyber-espions sur les réseaux d’information. « Il est clair, désormais, que cette cyber-menace est l’un des problèmes les plus graves, qu’il s’agisse d’économie et de sécurité nationale, auxquels notre pays est confronté. Il est clair aussi que notre gouvernement et notre pays ne sont pas aussi bien préparés qu’ils le devraient », a-t-il déclaré dans son discours à la Maison Blanche le 29 mai dernier.
En effet, certains réseaux américains, qui devraient être extrêmement bien sécurisés, semblent encore très perméables. Il y a quelques semaines, des hackers ont réussi à pirater le système de contrôle aérien américain. Récemment également, un pirate suédois à été inculpé aux USA pour avoir piraté le système informatique de la Nasa et de Cisco.
Un coordinateur chargé de lutter contre les cyber-attaques bientôt nommé
Dans cette optique de protéger au maximum les données sensibles des organisations américaines et celles de tous les citoyens ayant accès au Web, Barack Obama va bientôt désigner un Monsieur Cyber-sécurité qui occupera le poste de haut responsable chargé de superviser la défense contre les intrusions. Des responsables du Pentagone ont ainsi indiqué à l’AFP que le patron de la NSA (National Security Agency), le général Keith Alexander, pourrait prendre les commandes de cette fonction.
Très concerné par l’univers numérique, Barack Obama avait déjà nommé en avril dernier Aneesh Chopra au poste de Chief Technology Officer. Cet ex-responsable des technologies de l’Etat de Virginie a ainsi pour mission « de promouvoir l’innovation technologique pour mener à bien les priorités des Etats-Unis, comme la création d’emplois, la réduction des coûts liés au système de santé et la sécurisation du pays ».
