Bouygues Telecom vise le très haut débit avec Numericable
D’ici le printemps 2010, Bouygues Telecom lancera ses premières offres très haut débit en s’appuyant sur le réseau Numericable.
Bouygues Telecom va s’appuyer sur Numericable pour lancer ses premières offres dans le très haut débit. Un accord a été signé dans ce sens avec la division opérateurs de Numericable-Completel. C’est la deuxième grande référence très haut débit après DartyBox.
Les deux parties se connaissent bien. En mai 2008, Numericable a déjà signé un accord MVNO avec Bouygues Telecom pour disposer du statut d’opérateur mobile virtuel sur son réseau.
Pour le très haut débit, l’accord s’appuie également sur une location de réseau mais Bouygues Telecom garde la maîtrise des offres (tarifs, décodeur, services en ligne…).
Les premières offres très haut débit de la filiale télécoms du groupe Bouygues devraient apparaître d’ici juin 2010.
Ce ne sera pas forcément de la fibre à domicile (Fiber-To-The-Home ou FTTH en anglais) car le réseau de Numericable est plutôt orienté fibre jusqu’au bâtiment (Fiber-To-The-Building ou FTTB)
En attendant, l’opérateur progresse dans le haut débit et le multi play avec son offre Ideo.
Dans une interview accordée aux Echos, Franck Abihssira, Directeur Contenus, Services ET FAI chez Bouygues Telecom, déclare qu’au troisième trimestre 2009, 89 000 boîtiers multi play Bbox ont été activés, contre 55 000 au trimestre précédent (période avril-juin, qui correspond au lancement officiel de l’offre quadruple play Ideo-Bbox: Internet haut débit, TV, téléphonie fixe et mobile).
