Opera Software dévoile la version alpha de son navigateur Opera 11. Nouveauté de taille intégrée à cette nouvelle mouture : le support des extensions.
Grâce l’ajout de quelques lignes de code, les développeurs peuvent porter sur Opera 11 une extension déjà programmée pour un autre navigateur (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) grâce à la compatibilité du navigateur avec les principaux standards du Web (JavaScript, CSS, HTML 5).
L’éditeur norvégien a déjà mis en place pour la version alpha un léger catalogue d’une quinzaine extensions, qui a vocation à s’enrichir au fil des mois. Est également intégrée au navigateur une page de réglage, permettant d’activer ou de supprimer des extensions.
La prochaine version test d’Opera 11 devrait permettre la mise à jour automatique des extensions choisies.
Par ailleurs, cette mouture alpha dispose d’une nouvelle présentation de la messagerie Opera Mail intégrée au navigateur.
Le moteur d’exécution JavaScript gagne aussi en rapidité, associé au moteur de rendu Presto 2.6.37.

Avec les extensions, on peut dire que Opera sera supérieur à Firefox.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of « neighbors » will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune « Social » is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
