Selon diverses sources médias, Google compte acquérir Quicksee (connu également sous le nom de MentorWave Technologies).
Le montant de l’acquisition porterait sur 10 millions de dollars.
Cette start-up israélienne développe un logiciel permettant d’associer des éléments 3D (images, vidéos…) à des services de visite virtuelle.
Appliquée à Google, cette technologie pourrait enrichir des outils cartographiques comme Google Street View, Google Maps et Google Earth.
Selon le journal israélien Haaretz, Quicksee, créée en 2002 par un quatuor de Net-entrepreneurs (Gadi Royz, Assaf Harel, Pavel Yosifovich et Rony Amira), a levé trois millions de dollars auprès des fonds Ofer Hi-Tech et Docor International Management.
