Sécurité : les Etats-Unis se dotent d’un premier centre unifié de lutte contre la cyber-criminalité
Barack Obama a déclaré la guerre à la cyber-criminalité : sa ministre chargée de la sécurité intérieure a inauguré le premier centre unifié américain de cyber-sécurité.
Sous la houlette de Janet Napolitano, la ministre américaine chargée de la sécurité intérieure, l’administration Obama vient de se pourvoir de son premier centre unifié de lutte contre la cyber-criminalité, situé près de la capitale, Washington D.C, et du Pentagone.
Le Centre national d’intégration de la cyber-sécurité et des communications (NCCIC) a pour but de protéger les administrations, les réseaux et le secteur privé contre les attaques de pirates à partir d’un seul centre de commandement, regroupant plusieurs organismes gouvernementaux spécialisés dans le lutte contre les criminels sur Internet.
« Vingt-quatre heures sur 24 et 365 jours par an, il s’agira de se préparer et de riposter aux menaces et aux incidents touchant les infrastructures informatiques et de communication », a expliqué Janet Napolitano, rapporte l’AFP.
On retrouve ainsi au sein de la NCCIC l’Equipe de préparation aux situations d’urgence informatique (US CERT), un partenariat entre secteur public et secteur privé qui rassemble des opérateurs téléphoniques et d’autres sociétés privées spécialisées dans les opérations de surveillance et de veille. On retrouve également au sein de ce nouvel organisme le National Coordinating Center for Telecommunications (NCC), qui a pour but de protéger les télécommunications du gouvernement américain.
Pour renforcer les équipes du Centre national d’intégration de la cyber-sécurité et des communications, la ministre en charge de la sécurité intérieure va lancer le recrutement de 1 000 experts en cyber-sécurité ces trois prochaines années.
La cyber-sécurité est un des chevaux de bataille de Barack Obama depuis sa nomination en janvier dernier. Le président des Etats-Unis souhaite en effet davantage sécuriser les réseaux numériques publics et privés. Il devrait bientôt nommer un Monsieur Cyber-sécurité qui occupera le poste de haut responsable chargé de superviser la défense contre les intrusions.
Déjà, en juin dernier, le Pentagone avait lancé son CyberCom, un commandement militaire chargé de protéger les réseaux sensibles des Etats-Unis. Il est placé sous l’autorité du Commandement stratégique américain (Stratcom).
