La première version finale de TweetDeck arrive sur l’Android Market.
Un rythme soutenu puisque la première version bêta publique de l’application dans cet environnement était arrivée le 12 août.
TweetDeck est présenté comme un « navigateur personnel », qui permet de se connecter à différents réseaux sociaux : Google Buzz, Foursquare, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter…
« De quoi en faire pour l’heure l’une des meilleures applications du genre, gratuite qui plus est », assure Gizmodo.
Lors d’un décompte mené dans le courant de l’été, la start-up londonienne recensait 15 millions de téléchargements pour la version desktop et 2,5 millions pour la déclinaison iPhone (existe aussi pour iPad).
A travers cette application, environ quatre millions de tweets sont générés chaque jour via TweetDeck et 30 000 images sont uploadées à travers cette passerelle Web 2.0 (en fait une application développée sous Adobe Air).
Fondée en juillet 2008 et désormais dotée d’un effectif d’une quinzaine de personne, TweetDeck a levé 3,8 millions de dollars sous la supervision de la structure d’incubation Betaworks.
