À l’occasion de l’Open World Forum 2010 organisé à Paris, le cabinet d’études Markess International dévoile une étude* portant sur la pénétration de l’open source au sein des administrations françaises.
Le poids des logiciels libres représenterait 16% du budget informatique (charges de personnels interne, achat de matériel, de logiciels et de prestations de services externes).
En se concentrant sur le seul segment « administrations françaises », le marché des logiciels et services liés à l’open source serait évalué à plus d’un milliard d’euros (1090 millions d’euros plus précisément).
Entre 2010 et 2012, ce marché devrait croître à un rythme de 15,3% pour atteindre 1,4 milliard d’euros (1450 millions).
Les solutions open source sont plutôt plébiscitées dans ce secteur : seuls 6 % des personnes interrogées ne considèrent pas les logiciels libres comme un vecteur d’innovation.
Autre point relevé par Silicon.fr, l’utilisation du cloud computing pour les solutions open source reste marginale : 6 % des responsables confient y avoir actuellement recours. Toutefois, ce chiffre devrait grimper à 41 % d’ici fin 2012.
