Selon Coverity (sécurité IT), une analyse du noyau d’Android révèle 88 failles importantes susceptibles de favoriser la propagation de données personnelles.
C’est l’un des principaux enseignements de l’étude 2010 Coverity Scan Open Source Integrity Report.
Plus précisément, cette découverte est basée sur une analyse du noyau [kernel] de la version Android Froyo disponible sur le smartphone HTC Droid Incredible.
Elle est révélée en plein boom de l’OS mobile dont le développement est supervisé par Google.
Selon Coverity, on pourrait retrouver cette série de failles dans d’autres terminaux sous Android.
En fait, la société californienne spécialisée dans l’analyse de l’intégrité des développements logiciels a mis en lumière un total de 359 bugs, dont un quart est à ranger dans la catégorie « risques hautement élevées ».
Le rapport Coverity dans son intégralité a permis de sonder un total de 61 millions de lignes de code open source émanant de 291 projets open source incluant Apache, Linux, PHP et Samba

Les failles sont présentes, mais quel système informatique n’en a pas ?
De plus il reste l’OS le moins attaqué lors des concours de hack, pourquoi si tant de failles sont présentes ???
