YouTube pourrait gagner l’estime des artistes en tentant de mettre un frein au piratage de contenus.
La SACEM (Société des Auteurs, des Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique) et la plate-forme vidéo viennent de signer un accord prévoyant la rémunération des artistes en cas de diffusion de leurs œuvres sur YouTube.
Le site Web, propriété de Google, s’engage ainsi à rémunérer les artistes dont le répertoire est géré par la SACEM.
Cet accord, valable jusqu’à la fin 2012, couvre la diffusion sur YouTube du répertoire musical mondial, répertoire anglo-américains des éditeurs multi-nationaux compris, ainsi que l’ensemble des autres œuvres gérées par la SACEM.
A noter que la SACEM possède un catalogue de 40 millions d’œuvres musicales.
Ce « partenariat » est enfin conclu après plus de trois ans de négociations. En effet, depuis 2007, YouTube et la Société des Auteurs, des Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique discutaient de cette éventuelle rémunération des artistes dont les œuvres sont diffusées sur la plate-forme vidéo.
Des accords de ce type avec YouTube ont déjà été menés à leurs termes dans quelques pays européens, comme au Royaume-Uni et en Italie.
A quelle hauteur seront plafonnées ces rémunérations ? Plusieurs paramètres devraient pris en compte en compte plusieurs paramètres. « Tout dépend du mode des formats publicitaires choisis : bannière, publicité avant ou après la vidéo, liens textes inclus dans la vidéo, etc. », explique YouTube, rapporte LePoint.fr. Bref, difficile de saisir concrètement les avancées dues à un tel accord…

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of « neighbors » will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune « Social » is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
